Change Your Life. is a life-changing group program for Pre-Diabetic people that will help you transition to a healthier lifestyle, reduce your risk of diabetes (and the slew of other health complications that come with it), and help you reconnect to yourself to create a life that you love.
And, it’s legit. Change Your Lifestyle. Change Your Life. is evidence based and promoted by the American Medical Association and Center for Disease Control and Prevention. It is a structured intervention that can cut the risk of Type 2 diabetes IN HALF.
It’s more than an eating plan, it’s an experience. It’s the year-long program that you’ll be talking about for the rest of your life. It’s a total game changer.
You’ll learn how to make important changes that can help delay or prevent type 2 diabetes (think: losing a modest amount of weight, increasing your activity levels, and managing your stress!).
During the first 7 weeks of Change Your Lifestyle. Change Your Life., you’ll learn more about nutrition and health than ever before. We’ll teach you everything you need to know about how to properly nourish your body with delicious, satisfying foods to set you up for success for the next year (and beyond!).
Now that you’ve got the basics down pat, you’re ready for the next level! Over the next few weeks you’ll learn how to deal with elements in your environment that stand in the way of your lifestyle change. You’ll learn to understand your body’s cues, food triggers, and strategies to change habits, and make the best of whatever situation you find yourself in (aka you don’t have to fear the party platters).
Next we’ll explore the psychological issues related to weight loss and long-term change. You’ll learn how to cope with negative thoughts and ‘slips’ from healthy eating, how to prevent and cope with stress, the effects of social cues, and ways to stay motivated (WOO!).
The second half of the program will be completely tailored to the group’s needs. Every couple of weeks you’ll get together with your group to keep up accountability and check in. We’ll reinforce your lifestyle changes and keep you on the path to reaching your wellness goals.
